Jonathan Sable of Infantry Lacrosse

Jonathan Sable

Jonathan Sable has been in the coaching world of lacrosse since his senior year at Manhattanville in 2011. Jon started playing lacrosse at a young age and grew up on Long Island playing for Lynbrook High School.

Following his high school career, Jon continued to play lacrosse at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. During this time, he was frequently helping out youth clinics as one of his goals was to see lacrosse expand. During his time at Manhattanville, Jon played defense and in his senior year stepped between the pipes to help out a gap in his team.

It was also during this time, Jon was given an opportunity to start up a program at the Rye Neck School District. He began working to develop the program and brought the team from a middle school team to a varsity program in 5 years. He takes great pride in teaching the fundamentals of the game and helping players develop their skills.

On top of coaching varsity lacrosse, Jon has been coaching for Rye Youth Lacrosse since 2016 and has also helped out with the White Plains Youth Program. Jon is also very active travel lacrosse and has worked for Topside Lacrosse and Predators Lacrosse. Through his time with Predators, he has been able to help kids rise through the ranks and has helped a handful of players get recruited to play lacrosse in college.

Jon is a passionate educator who wants to help all kids succeed. He currently teaches History and Special Education in the Rye City School District.
