Join Infantry Lacrosse this summer for local instruction that focuses on individualized skill development and improved lacrosse IQ.

Mini Laxers K-2 Summer Series

Join our Infantry Lacrosse staff for a fun introduction to lacrosse for girls grades K-2! Led by women’s lacrosse players with college coaching and playing experience, we provide our mini laxers the best opportunity to incorporate proper skill instruction from a young age. Players will take part in our obstacle course, shooting range, and skill stations to combine their athletic development with skillwork. Our curriculum will be guided by US Lacrosse standards. 

Equipment Required

● Girls: Stick, goggles, mouthguard

Goalie Training Summer Series

The Infantry Lacrosse team offers individual goalie training for girls attending grades 3-8. Our ultimate goal here at Infantry is to provide elite, affordable goalie clinics to various ages, levels and genders of goalkeepers. With a low player to coach ratio and personalized instruction, we strive to assist each goalkeeper to improve their hand-eye-coordination, read and reaction of shots, clearing, and much more.

● Helmet, chest protector, gloves, shin guards, leg protection, neck guard, stick.

Pro Player and College Coach Series

Join our Infantry Lacrosse staff along with guest coaches who will lead clinics on specialized skill instruction. Clinics are open to players grades 3-8.

Each session will be led by a college lacrosse coach or pro player to provide players with an edge during their play in club and town. Our guest coaches are ready to help our players in Fairfield County expand their lacrosse IQ and incorporate the skills of college and pro level lacrosse.

Coaching Appearances

Kelly McPartland Cinelli

Coach Cinelli is the head women’s lacrosse coach at Wagner College. She was a two-time National Champion at Maryland, current member of the Athletes Unlimited Professional Lacrosse League, and an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Delaware before being named head women's lacrosse coach at Wagner.

She was also the assistant coach at Columbia University. Coach Cinelli was a member of the US Women's National Lacrosse Team from 2011 to 2015, McPartland won a gold medal for Team USA at the 2011 FIL Women's U-19 World Lacrosse Championship in Hanover, Germany.

Meg McNamara

Coach McNamara-Cafiero is the head women’s lacrosse coach at LIU Post University. She has led the team for the last 16 years at both the DIvision I and Division II level. McNamara-Cafiero compiled a 195-38 record at Division II, ranking eighth among all Division II coaches in winning percentage (.850) while also ranking as the 10th-winningest coach among all divisions by percentage. McNamara's 195 wins ranks twelfth all-time in Division II. Under her guidance, the Pioneers captured two NCAA Division II National Championships (2012, 2013), while compiling 10 NCAA Tournament appearances and five East Coast Conference titles. As the head coach for the Division I Sharks, she has led the team to two Northeast Conference tournament appearances and multiple players nominated for all conference awards. McNamara-Cafiero was also a four time national champion as a player at Maryland and helped the Terrapins to a combined record of 83-4.

Cortney Fortunato

Cortney is a professional women’s lacrosse player with the Athletes Unlimited Professional Women’s Lacrosse League. Fortunato was a four-year letter winner who appeared in 79 games from 2014-17. She ranks third on the Fighting Irish's career games played list and is one of two players in the program's history with 300 or more career points. Fortunato is the second-leading goal scorer in program history with 225 goals and stands third in school history with 86 assists.

She also recorded 106 ground balls, 52 draw controls, and 95 caused turnovers. Fortunato has international experience as a member of the United States Senior National Team from 2014-15 and 2016-17. She also helped the United States win the 2011 Under-19 Championship and was selected to the All-World Team.
